Even though many people hope to never attend school in their life again once they are done high school, I have a different attitude. You see, I think that furthering my education is important because it keeps my mind sharp and young. Okay, maybe that sounds a little too happy as an answer: the truth is that my career choice requires me to take additional classes every two years. The way I understand it is that the insurance regulations change so much year to year that it is important that we are able to provide the correct information to our clients. So, I have been working the last couple of weeks on meeting my education requirement.
The beauty of what I need to learn is that I don’t have to go to a traditional school to do it. Instead, I just ordered some California insurance continuing education courses that I could do right from home, and I can do it on my own time. It makes it a lot easier to work around my family and work schedules and gives me the freedom to get it done when I can. I just make sure that I start my courses about six months before my two years is up, so I have enough time to get everything done – at least that is what works for me.
